Woodruffe Awahuri Handicap Cross Country
April 21 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Feilding Moa have been running on one or other of the Woodruffe farms since the early 1950’s. Lawrie Woodruffe is a life member of Moa while “younger” brother Roger Woodruffe was a club junior champion around 1960 and you will still see him competing these days in his seventies.
Today we run on Rogers SH3 Awahuri farm, with part of the route including the “original” course from over 60 years ago. Look for the “Moa” sign at the gate, part way between the old Awahuri Hotel and start of the passing lane up Mt Stewart.
RACE FORMAT: Open Handicap. Arrive early to find out your scheduled start time – this is a staggered start where faster runners start at the tail of the field and try to catch everyone else before the finish. First across the line is the winner.
POINTS: To gain your first handicap race points of the season you must be registered as a member BEFORE the race.
