A very warm and sunny afternoon at Beaconsfield for our final club event of the current season saw a good crowd of young and older members competing.
Minimoa’s went first, doing about 1.2km. Molly Nicholson came in ahead of Blake Johnston, Hazel Pearson and Sierra Johnston
It was then a mass start for everyone else doing from 3km to 10km.
First to the 3km turn was Reuben Duker, who stayed in front to win the Boys. Second to the turn was Lucas Reed, but a lapse of concentration on the hill saw him delay turning for 10m or so. Lucy Evans won the Girls 3km and was 3rd overall.
Colts were the first to the 6km turn, with Benjamin Wall winning in 19:54 from Samuel Phillips, Liam Wall and Luke Brown.
Women and Junior women also ran 6km. Stephanie Walker was the best of them, winning the JW grade from Lacey Dommett. Juanita Paterson added this Road championship to the Cross Country cup she won earlier in the season.
The Mens 10km (more like actually 10.5km) was dominated by Nick Johnston, but he did at least have the company of Benjamin for the first 3km . Nick won in 35:09, with colt, Andre le Pine-Day 2nd across the line followed by Shane Reed and Paul Wasley.
Best of the 6km walkers was Colin Clark in a smart time of just over 40 minutes
