DESCRIPTION:Matarki Day is time for the Anderson Rally\, a joint venture between Feilding Moa and Napier Harriers\, with other clubs from around the lower North Island also invited.\n\nONLINE ENTRY PORTAL will be open soon\nEntries close 6pm Wednesday 8 July \n \nCourse: click on the “Event Website” link towards the bottom of this page for a preview \nThe main lap will be around 2.5-3km\, however a shorter version of 2km will also be used. \nUnder-8’s do a separate 1km course. Expect a range of contour from dead flat to hills and some traditional cross country obstacles such as steeples and gates plus a few unique to this course. \n  \n Schedule (subject to variation closer to the day) \n1:00pm       Under 8’s                                    1.0km \n1:15pm       Boys and Girls U10\, U12           2.0km \n1:30pm      Boys and Girls U14\, U16             3km \n1:50pm      MU18\, WU18\, WU20 MU20      5.0km\n1:50pm     Masters women 35+                     5.0km \n1:50pm     Masters women 60+        5.0km\n1:50pm     Open Walk                         5.0km \n2:00pm    Masters men 60+            6km\n2:00pm    Open men & women      9km\n2:oopm     Masters Men 35-59       9km \n3:15pm Prize giving\n\nClub members a plate for afternoon tea please \n \nAnderson Rally History \nThe Dannevirke Rally began in 1934\, but soon became commonly known as the Anderson Rally after one of the main sponsors.\nApart from a couple of breaks between 1942-1945 and late 70’s\, it was held up until the late 1990’s\, once one of the largest cross country events in NZ for many years with over 700 runners participating. \nThe Trophies (at least the ones we’ve found so far) read like a who’s who of NZ distance running greats. \nGrade winners will be recognised with certificates and the Points winner of the Overall Club will be awarded the Turnbull Cup \n  \n
