DESCRIPTION:Hawera Harriers host this iconic cross country event at Hawera in South Taranaki\nWe won’t be making this an official club trip this year but encourage those who wish to support this long-standing cross country race. Merit prizes for all ages also up for grabs.  The event is on Saturday of Kings Birthday weekend \nRaces for all ages and including an excellent Walk event based on estimated time. \nENTRY form coming soon \nRACE Schedule (to be confirmed closer to race day)\n1:00pm  Walkers – all grades 4000m – estimated time (no watches) \n1:00pm  Women U18 & U20yrs\, U16 Men  4000m \n1:00pm  Senior women/W35+\,  Men  65+  4000m\n1:30pm  Boys & Girls U10/U12 years           2000m\n1:45pm  Girls U14\, U16 years\,  Boys U14     3000m\n2:05pm  Men U18 & U20 years                     6000m\n2:40pm  Senior men & 35-64 yrs                 8000m \nAge calculated as of 31 December 2024. e.g if you are 12\, but turn 13 before 31st December you will compete in the Under-15 grade\n Walkers – Estimated time competition\, prize for closest time. Pre-entry. No watches.\n Club uniform must be worn by all competitors. \nTeam Prizes – 4 runners to count (awarded for each race except B & G U10/U12) – the fastest four from each club will be counted in the team – no need to enter a “team” on paper prior to the race. \n
