SUMMARY:64th Vautier Cups handicap cross country
DESCRIPTION:One of our oldest and most iconic farm runs.  The course has changed somewhat from the early days – they say it used to be a real toughie back then. (makes it sound easy now!) Parkrunners may recognise Reg Vautier\, who has notched up over 300 walks\, often proudly wearing a Moa shirt. \nThe owners these days\, Ross and Jackie Whitelock\, have kindly allowed us continued access which we are grateful of. They are no strangers to the club; Jackie used to run some 20+ years ago and is the daughter of one of our Life Members\, Ross Barnett. \nCourse:  see the “Event Website” link on this page. It’s a 2.5km genuine cross country lap with lots of downhill (once you get to the top). “Chocolate fish hill” has a treat for those who manage to run all the way! And Senior Men get to enjoy doing that 4 times. Nice views as far as Kapiti\, or so they say – personally I’ve always got too much sweat in my eyes to fully appreciate the view! \nRace Format: open handicap \nDistances: Minimoas 1km \nBoys and Girls 7-13 years 2.5km \nColts and Junior women 2 laps\, 5km \nWomen 2 laps\,   5km \nU20 men & Men 4 laps\, 10km \nElevations \n \n
