This code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour of all members, volunteers, coaches, parents, and participants involved in club activities. It promotes a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone.

We want everyone in our club to feel safe, respected, and supported. Whether you’re an athlete, coach, volunteer, official, or supporter, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

  1. Be Respectful
    • Treat everyone with kindness and respect, both on and off the field.
    • Avoid negative comments, bullying, or any behaviour that could hurt others. Avoid discriminatory or offensive language.
    • Respect everyone’s differences – no discrimination based on gender, race, beliefs, or background.
    • Promote a culture of inclusion and fairness.
  2. Show Good Sportsmanship
    • Play fair and follow the rules.
    • Be honest and show integrity in everything you do.
    • Encourage and support others – celebrate effort as well as achievement.
  3. Stay Safe and Responsible
    • Put safety first – yours and others.
    • Never use illegal drugs or banned performance substances.
    • No alcohol, smoking, or vaping at competitions or training. Adult club members who wish to consume alcohol at club social events must do so responsibly.

    • Compete fairly and respect the rules and decisions of officials.
    • Don’t try to gain unfair advantage.
    • Be a role model – especially for younger athletes.
  6. Take Care of Wellbeing
    • Look after your body and mind – don’t push past your limits.
    • Coaches will ensure training is suitable for your age and ability.
    • Speak up if something doesn’t feel right.
  7. Represent the Club Positively
    • When you wear the Moa colours, remember you represent our whole club.
    • Be proud, act responsibly, and help make the club a place everyone enjoys being part of.
