Another lovely Feilding evening saw 30% more people take part compared to last week – that’s 122, so the news is spreading!
Fastest around the two laps was once again PNth school teacher Mark Searle in 17 min 58 sec – like the vast majority of runners and walkers, this was quicker than his first week. Best of the females was Juanita Paterson in 21.52
The 1-lappers were lead in by event organiser Rob Dabb in 10.39. ( doing 2 laps next week for sure!)

A reminder about the markers and cones – you should be running to THE RIGHT of these and keeping within 5 metres.
How’s your weekly runs and walks going? Are you managing 3-4 times out?
A good way to improve your fitness and have fun doing so is Fartlek running.
Fartlek means “playing with speed”. So every 2-3 minutes on one of your runs next week, ramp up the pace for 1 minute, then slow down for 2-3 min and go again. You can change this to say jogging 4-5 power poles, and running fast for 2. Once you can do the 1 minute efforts, vary it to 90 seconds or 2 minutes. If you run with a friend, take turns at deciding when to speed up and how long to hold that pace. Have fun!
