Come run the NZ Secondary Schools cross country championship course 1 week before 1000 secondary school athletes turn up. 

Our job is to help flatten the course in time for next week!

VENUE: Sport & Rugby Institute, Massey University, Albany Drive, Palmerston North

ACCESS: From Old West Rd, truninto Albany Drive

PARKING: Go approx 300m past the Sport & Rugby Institute (SRI)and turn into the main carpark. No parking beside the SRI except for officials or approved persons

Choose your distance from 1k, 2k, 3k, 5k, 8k

Feilding Moa members do not need to pre-register – simply turn up wearing your usual Race Number and check in at Registration to nominate your Distance

Default Distances (but you can choose any of these)

7 years and under 1km

8-13 years 3km

14-19 women 4km

women 5km

men 8km

The 2000m course offers around 550m flat fast running and 1550m of undulating farmland. Expect a bit of mud!

LAPS 2000m – 25m elevation gain per lap

A short-lap of 1000m is run first for the odd-numbered distances

We are especially encouraging any secondary school athletes, Manawatu and beyond, to come test out the course a week before the NZ champs
