63rd Vautier Cups handicap cross country
May 31 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

One of our oldest farm runs. The course has changed somewhat from the early days – they say it used to be a real toughie back then. (makes it sound easy now!) Parkrunners will recognise Reg Vautier as one of the regular walkers, often proudly wearing a Moa shirt.
The owners these days, Ross and Jackie Whitelock, have kindly allowed us continued access which we are grateful of. They are no strangers to the club; Jackie used to run some 20+ years ago and is the daughter of one of our Life Members, Ross Barnett.
Course: see the “Event Website” link on this page. It’s a 2.5km genuine cross country lap with lots of downhill (once you get to the top). And Senior Men get to enjoy doing that 4 times. Nice views as far as Kapiti so they say – always been too much sweat in my eyes to fully appreciate the view!
